How to kill when my bed has a bed bugs?

Bed bugs are very tenacious and difficult to get rid of. You really need to hire an exterminator for them and it may require multiple treatment. Santinize every thing that has come into contact with the bed – sheets, curtains, carpet, etc.

How do you kill bed bugs?

My hispanic neighbors have bed bugs and ask me how to kill them…LOL! Really!

Answer

Tell them to use a hot steam and Bed Bug Powder.
I had them years ago and trid so many different things to get rid of bed bugs, but that is the only way that actually worked.

First of all, wash all the bedding items with HOT water. Also use a steam cleaner on the mattress or floor. what that does is that heat over 120 degrees kills live bed bugs hiding in the mattress or sheets. If it is summer, you can take the mattress out under the direct sunlight for a few hours, but it is easier and more effective to use a steamer because of the current weather.

Then sprinkle the Bed Bug Powder on the infected area, and that is it!!

Just small amount of Bed Bug Powder can get rid of bed bugs, and it lasts, seems to be, forever.

Good luck!

Will Raid Kill Bedbugs?

What is the best way to exterminate these annoying critters?

Answer

True Value Hardware has a spray specifically for bedbugs. Get a couple bottles, open the windows, strip the bed and wash the linens in hot water, and spray the mattresses well, flipping them and doing all sides. You may want to have the carpets cleaned or damp mop the floors with ammonia.

Bed bug problem using heat to kill?

I have a bed bug problem
my bed is infested, but I don't have the $ to replace it right now.
I have a portable heater, if I put it under my bed and leave it on for a couple of hours, do you think it will kill the bedbugs?

Answer

No it won't and worse yet, your bed could catch fire. DO NOT do this.

If you absolutely can't replace your bed, get a plastic mattress cover and that at least will help prevent bed bug bites, but they're just going to keep reproducing.

Also simply replacing your mattress will not completely solve the problem. You have to have an exterminator come in and spray for bed bugs before you put the new mattress in.

Get Rid of Bed Bugs Naturally

Do I have bedbugs?? How do I get rid of them?

I have noticed several small bites on my body and my friend said they are bedbug bites. I looked online and checked my bed and mattress for all the signs of bedbugs, but couldn’t find any. I cleaned my whole bedroom, washed all the sheets, blankets, and pillows, and vacuumed the mattress. I can’t think of any way I could of got bedbugs, but since I live in an apartment its likely the neighbors could have them. However, I keep getting new bites every night. Is it possible that I have bedbugs and just can’t see them (or any signs of them?) Is there a way I can get rid of them without calling an exterminator?

Answer

You might have bed bugs. If you get new bites every night then you’re most likely going through bed bugs. The signs are, drops of blood on the mattress (sometimes you get blood stains, other times you don’t), little holes in your mattress, red circles around the bites (may occur).

And the way to get rid of bed bugs are to get a bug expert. Get someone who knows a lot about blood sucking bugs. They will tell you what might happen if you don’t do something about the bugs. The best solution to getting rid of them is to get rid of your mattress. Buy another one. Before you do get another mattress, clean your apartment completely. Check the cushions on sofas, chairs, and any other places where cushions are. Check little cracks in the floor and near your bed, sofas, and small areas. Check around the carpet lining. Check to see if there are any black or brown spots on the carpet.

The next thing you should do is clean all your p.j.’s. Make sure they’re washed thoroughly. Check the bed frame, and also check the walls. See if there are any holes in the wall that might be showing a sign of an entrance. If there is, plaster up all the holes and then go and talk to your neighbors. Ask if they have been infested (or more nicely, invaded) by bed bugs. If they had, then ask them if they can take care of the problem. Tell them that you may have bed bugs over in your place. Then wash down all the places that you think bed bugs might love to hide. They love to be in dark places, that are cushiony. Maybe under the couch cushions.

If the problem gets worse, then you may want to think about getting an exterminator. It’s for your own good. If you have pets and you’re worried about your pet’s health, then get a pet-sitter and have the pets, even if it’s a goldfish, or hermit crab stay there for a couple of days, so that the chemicals evaporate in the air. The pets can come back to your apartment in about 2-3 days max.

Hopefully this helps a lot. I care about your health. Good luck.

How to get rid of bedbugs?

Answer

I had a really bad case of bed bugs in my apartment…unfortunately they had also gotten in my bed mattress and boxspring…

So you should clean all your bedsheets and dry them at very HIGH temperature to kill them…

Vacuum as much as possible to suck up all these bugs and their eggs…

I wrap the mattress completely with plastic sheets to trap them inside and put it outside in the daytime during summer…eventually they will die from the extreme heat…

I wrapped the bottom of the box spring with plastic sheets and sealed it up with plastic tape…eventually all the bed bugs in the box spring starved to death…

I also got something called Diatomaceous Earth…it is basically just grounded up fossilized skeletons of tiny aquatic organisms.

Diatomaceous Earths method of action for insect & parasite control is strictly mechanical.

The microscopically sharp edges contact the insect or parasite and pierces or damages their outer protective coating, they then dehydrate & die.

Of course if these insects or bugs actually try to EAT this stuff the sharp edges of the Diatomaceous Earth would really tear up AND damage their internal organs and that is another way to kill them off!

You can contact your local store or company that sells pest control supplies…or you can buy it online like I did from a place like www.amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=se…

If you read the customer reviews for Diatomaceous Earth it is pretty much a safe way to kill bugs but it will not harm people or their pets…

What is the best way to get rid of bed bugs?

We had some guests over and they left souvenirs! We have called an exterminator and he has come by twice with no success. Help! I don’t know what else to do. How long does it take to get rid of them??

Answer

Luke P has some good advice. You could also launder your bedding in hot water setting when you wash them. The heat type methods are the best. It kills them instantly. It is best to change your bedding and wash them regularly; weekly if possible. But if you are like me and may not own your washer & dryer, keeping up with laundry can be expensive and may have to be reduce to a bi-monthly or bi-weekly occurrence. As long as your can change your bedding regularly, it will be okay. You have be careful with which steaming device you choose to use. There are some steamer that create an excessive amount of water before it can be turned into steam resulting in a watery drip from the machine which can wet your bedding. It easier to do than washing, you just have to be do your research on the product. If you can see demonstration or be able to return it for refund after trying it at home, that would be the best way to go.

How to get rid of bed bugs?

Please don’t mistake bed bugs for dust mites.

Answer

Probably time to get a new mattress and duvet, wash sheets at 60 and get any blankets either dry-cleaned or binned. Vacuum thoroughly under the bed as well as all around the room and spray the carpet with some bug juice. Have fun!

What it the best way to kill bed bugs?

what chemicals should i use and how can i prevent them form coming back

Answer

I read an article on-line that said you need to wash your sheets and pillows in hot, hot, hot water and that you need to vacuum your mattress and box spring on both sides. You also need to clean your entire house and get rid of any pets (sorry fluffy) or take them to be groomed (washed and trimmed). If your kids have stuffed animals-stick them all in trash bags for a few months so that you suffocate the little pests. To prevent them from coming back you need to find a bug man that still uses a gel pesticide because that is the only thing that will kill them. The liquid stuff that we use now just doesn’t do it. Also, check for bed bugs in the folds of the mattress (both sides) every time you stay anywhere other than your own house to make sure that you don’t bring them home. If none of that works, there is a spray that you can buy off of http://www.deadbedbug.com that you spray on your mattress.
