How to get rid of bedbugs?

Hi there, I need some advice?
What is the best saluting for bedbugs?
I keep spraying Rentokil bedbug killer regularly and try to keep everything in my room clean, clothes and other stuff but it keeps coming back. I can’t afford to change by bed and furnitures so please advise me something affordable, like any spray, powder etc.

Any tips would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

I had a really bad case of bed bugs in my apartment…unfortunately they had also gotten in my bed mattress and boxspring…

So you should clean all your bedsheets and dry them at very HIGH temperature to kill them…

Vacuum as much as possible to suck up all these bugs and their eggs…

I wrap the mattress completely with plastic sheets to trap them inside and put it outside in the daytime during summer…eventually they will die from the extreme heat…

I wrapped the bottom of the box spring with plastic sheets and sealed it up with plastic tape…eventually all the bed bugs in the box spring starved to death…

I also got something called Diatomaceous Earth…it is basically just grounded up fossilized skeletons of tiny aquatic organisms.

Diatomaceous Earths method of action for insect & parasite control is strictly mechanical.

The microscopically sharp edges contact the insect or parasite and pierces or damages their outer protective coating, they then dehydrate & die.

Of course if these insects or bugs actually try to EAT this stuff the sharp edges of the Diatomaceous Earth would really tear up AND damage their internal organs and that is another way to kill them off!

You can contact your local store or company that sells pest control supplies…or you can buy it online like I did from a place like www.amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=se…

If you read the customer reviews for Diatomaceous Earth it is pretty much a safe way to kill bugs but it will not harm people or their pets…

How to get rid of bedbugs?!? HELP!!?

Ok. So today is Wednesday and I just came back from Mono Cliffs (a field trip my school go on in Grade 7 for 2 and a half days) . I just came back from the school and before everyone left, they gave us this bedbug fact sheets and let us know that the staff at Mono Cliffs found bedbugs in one of the dorm rooms. So my room mate had red bumps that liked like mosquito's bites and there was a lot of red, big bumps on her arms, neck, upper torso, face and hands. So I knew right away that she had the bedbugs in her bed! On the sheets of paper my teacher gave me, it said that bedbugs can spread through luggage, backpacks, bedding and clothing. So I was her room mate and I think my luggage is infected by bedbugs. Right now, my mom is washing (laundry) each piece of clothing and luggage I brought to Mono Cliffs. Also the washing machine is washing the clothes I wore today and my shoes I wore to Mono Cliffs. After that, I took a shower and washed my hair and body throughly. I
am scared if I have the bedbugs because the dorm I was sharing with had bedbugs but the bed I was sleeping on didn't have bedbugs, the bed my room mate was sleeping Had bedbugs. I think I do have the bedbugs but I am not really sure. The suitcase I brought with me is outside my house right now because I think it is infected by bedbugs. The bag I used for my washroom stuff, my mom is cleaning it now. Also I brought my camera and other personal belongings, such as, my toothbrush, hairbrush, etc.

So how to get rid of bedbugs??
please, please help me!!!
Thanks

Answer

Wash you clothes in the hottest water they can tolerate, then bag them up and put them in the freezer for a couple of weeks to kill any bugs or eggs that may be on them. If you can't wash your suitcase, leave it in as cold a place as possible for as long as possible. I knew someone who got bedbugs and they spent months trying to get rid of them. Try to remember anything and everything you brought with you – books can carry the bugs too and either hot wash or freeze it if possible. I would recommend buying a new hair brush and toothbrush too. Good luck!

How to get rid of bed bugs?

Please don't mistake bed bugs for dust mites.

Answer

Probably time to get a new mattress and duvet, wash sheets at 60 and get any blankets either dry-cleaned or binned. Vacuum thoroughly under the bed as well as all around the room and spray the carpet with some bug juice. Have fun!

How do you get rid of bed bugs and why do you get them?

They are all over the apartment complex, but they are in my couch, not in my bed. I have cats and am afraid of pesticides. Will they harm the cats? How do I get rid of the bugs?

Answer

They may bite your cat like ticks and fleas. And even though you have not seen bed bugs on your bed, they will get there eventually. I know you are concerned about your cat when you use pesticide, but if you use Bed Bug Powder, you don't have to worry about your cat, but you can get rid of bed bugs.

That is what I found online, and used it on my mattress when I got a bed bug infestation. I was the same as you, "i want to get rid of bed bugs, but did not want to use anything hurts my cat".

Well, before you use the powder, you need to wash all the lines with HOT water. I learned that bed bugs will die with heat over 120 degrees. So washing lines with hot water will work, and for your couch and the mattress, use a steam cleaner. Apply heated steam on the couch and mattress and wait till they dry up. Then put the bed bug powder on the couch and mattress. If the floor is carpeted, I would sprinkle the powder on the floor too.

And funny thing is that the powder will not hurt us and animals, but it kills bed bugs. And yes it worked!! The website said the powder would work on ticks and fleas, so I put a little bit of powder on my cat to get rid of fleas. It is like baby powder.

I have not even used Advantage (anti-flea for cats) for long time since I started using the powder for my cat as well as on the mattress.

Anyway, I hope this helps your situation too.

Good luck!
